Who We Are

Racket Leagues is an app and service operated by MangyByte (Rich Oldfield-Bruton, sole trader, United Kingdom). This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use the Racket Leagues app or visit racketleagues.app.

What We Collect

Account data: When you sign up we store your email address, a display name or alias, and (optionally) a profile picture. Passwords are never stored in plain text — we store a one-way hash.

Club and match data: When you join a club and play leagues we store your league memberships, match results, and any comments you submit with a result. This data is visible to other members of the same club.

Subscription and purchase data: Club subscriptions and the optional sponsor-display in-app purchase are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play. We receive a confirmation token from the store but never see your card or bank details. We store the club's subscription status (active / lapsed / trial) so the app knows what to unlock.

App telemetry: We may collect anonymous crash reports and basic usage statistics to help us fix bugs and improve the app. This does not include personal content.

Website: The Racket Leagues website does not currently use analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and add a consent banner.

How Your Data Is Shared

Within your club: Your display name, profile picture, and match history are visible to other members of clubs you join. Super-admins of your club can also see your email address.

Outside your club: We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising. We do not share your data with other clubs without your consent.

Service providers: We use infrastructure providers (IONOS for hosting, Apple App Store and Google Play for distribution) who process data on our behalf under their own policies.

Cookies

The website uses only essential cookies needed for navigation. If we later add analytics, they will be opt-in and disclosed here.

Your Rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, export, or delete any personal data we hold about you. You can:

• Edit your display name, alias and profile picture in the app at any time
• Leave a club from the club settings screen — your membership is removed, though historical match results remain anonymised in the league archive
• Request full account deletion by contacting us (see below) — we will delete your account and personal data within 30 days

Data Retention

Account data is retained while your account is active. Match results and league history are retained indefinitely as part of your club's record, but are anonymised if you delete your account.

Children's Privacy

Racket Leagues is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Junior players in a club should be registered by a parent or guardian.

Changes to This Policy

We will update the "Last updated" date above whenever this policy changes. Material changes will be announced in-app.
