1. About These Terms
These terms govern your use of the Racket Leagues app and the racketleagues.app website. Racket Leagues is operated by MangyByte (Rich Oldfield-Bruton, sole trader, United Kingdom). By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
2. Your Account
You must provide a valid email address to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Racket Leagues — junior players should be registered by a parent or guardian who accepts these terms on their behalf.
3. Clubs and Leagues
A "club" is a group of players organised under a super-admin. Super-admins set the club name, branding, league configuration, and member roles. Clubs are responsible for how they use the app with their members and must follow applicable laws and the rules of any governing body (e.g. the LTA).
MangyByte provides the platform but is not responsible for club governance, disputes between members, or the accuracy of match results submitted by players.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Submit false match results, impersonate other players, or manipulate standings
- Upload offensive, abusive, or illegal content as display names, aliases, comments, or profile pictures
- Use Racket Leagues to harass or defame other users
- Attempt to access parts of the system you are not authorised to use, or probe the service for vulnerabilities without our permission
- Use automated tools or scripts to interact with the service
We may suspend or remove accounts that breach these rules.
5. Content You Submit
You retain ownership of content you submit (display names, aliases, profile pictures, match comments). By submitting it, you grant MangyByte a non-exclusive licence to store, display, and process that content as needed to run the service.
6. Fees and Subscriptions
Racket Leagues is free to download and free for players to use indefinitely.
Clubs pay a subscription of £20 per calendar month per club to run unlimited members and leagues. Subscriptions are billed through Apple's App Store or Google Play and are auto-renewing — you can cancel from your phone at any time, and access continues until the end of the paid period. UK VAT and any other applicable sales taxes are handled by the relevant store.
An optional £5 one-off in-app purchase unlocks the club sponsor display feature on a per-club basis. This purchase is non-recurring and remains active for the life of that club's subscription.
All paid items are clearly disclosed in the app before purchase. Refunds for in-app subscriptions and purchases are handled by Apple and Google under their respective store policies.
7. Availability
We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The service may be unavailable for maintenance, updates, or reasons outside our control. We are not liable for losses caused by temporary unavailability.
8. Liability
Racket Leagues is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by law, MangyByte is not liable for any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law.
9. Termination
You can stop using Racket Leagues and request account deletion at any time (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these terms, or discontinue the service with reasonable notice.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be announced in-app. Continued use of the service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
